On approaching Santa Eularia its hard to miss the imposing 16th century Church poised on the top of the hill. Rebuilt in the 16th Century after the Turkish invasion destroyed most of the previous one this Church and old town are one of the best conserved historical sites on the island and one of the most impressive examples of the local arquitecture along with the old town of Ibiza.

Boasting incredible views over the santa eularia area and neighbouring Island of Formentera its certainly worth the trek. Equally impressive at night, the hill with the church at its crest are floodlit leaving most first timers in awe.
Historically of tremendous strategic importance for the island; The only river in the Balearic islands can be found on the northern side of the town and on approaching by car can be seen below whilst crossing the bridge. Now mostly dried up it is still well worth the walk along the river to the old roman bridge that used to serve the town.
Santa Eularia is Ibiza’s third largest town, and the capital of the municipality with the same name. Also known as the richest (per capita) town in Spain and located 15km north of Ibiza town on the south eastern coast of the island. Hosting one of the largest concentration of locals and therefore does not change much no matter the time of year.
This area also boasts many beaches and some of the most beautiful as well. A preferred destination for those in search of the best of both worlds the town hosts all the facilities you might need and a long list of restaurants and bars.
